Who can see what
In our family, the privacy of each person counts the most.
Hidden
Nobody sees it except the family admin. Everything starts here by default.
Family only
Only people who enter a valid family member code can see it, for a few hours at a time.
Public
Anyone on the internet can see it. The admin must switch this on deliberately, item by item.
Living relatives appear on the public tree only as an anonymous leaf, with no name, photo or dates, unless they agree to be shown. Children can never be made public.
Business and investment information is never public. Personal pages open only with that person's own code and are hidden from search engines and link previews.
Photos you upload have their location and device details removed. Private photos use links that expire after a few hours.
